FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
July 9, 2018; Conshohocken, PA: SpectaSport, the leading race chip timing company located in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, has announced the “2018 GetPhound Fall Points Series”, a regional points series consisting mostly of charity races in New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania. The series runs from September until early December and includes races distances varying from road 5K’s all the way to a trail half-marathon.
The GetPhound Fall Points Series is the second of SpectaSport’s “Seasonal and Regional” points series, following a successful test series this past Spring. Runners are automatically enrolled in the series when they enter any of the races in the series and score points primarily based on their age group results, with small additional bonuses given to the top 3 Men and Women at each race. A minimum of $100 each is awarded to the Male and Female runners who score the most point during the duration of each series.
According to Ken Getchell, SpectaSport’s President, the GetPhound Fall Points Series has a unique focus. “In the past, Running Series were usually either a handful of events that were all in, or near, the same town. Or, they required participants to make a 9 or 10 month commitment, which most people with jobs and families can’t really do. On the other hand, a 2-3 month focus on improving age group results in races that are mostly raise money for charity is a fitness goal that even the busiest of us can achieve. The idea behind our series is to give runners a series with a variety of races over a couple month span, with no additional fees or paperwork, because running should be fun.”
SpectaSport’s Fall series is sponsored by GetPhound.com, a full-service Digital Marketing Agency in Conshohocken, PA specializing in website design, “white hat” search engine optimization and content marketing. “A pretty website on the 20th page of a Google search is a waste of money,” says SpectaSport’s Getchell. “Learn from our mistakes so you don’t make them yourself. Over the years, we had half-a-dozen companies design, host and maintain SpectaSport’s website. What little SEO we got, if we got any at all, turned out to be “black-hat” voodoo magic stuff that really didn’t improve our Search Engine rankings. We were getting killed even by new competitors on Google search. In desperation, I turned to GetPhound and watched as their ethical SEO practices and ongoing website content additions raised our profile to the point that we’re now on the first page of just about any Google search involving race timing or chip timing.”
